Mesuryak Unique Traditions Of Kuningan Day

Kuningan day falls every six months has its own meaning for the citizens of Banjar Bongan Gede, Bongan vilage, distric of Tabanan. Local people have a tradition held every mesuryak brass or ten days after Galungan day.

The tradition of mesuryak aims to bring back to the ancestral spirits of heaven rejoice with the mesuryak loka (cheer) while fighting over a number of money. Mesuryak started at around 9: 00 am: until 11.00. 

Beginning with the start of the worshipping House each of the citizens, then continued in the family shrine were (family temple), and the interface of the Pura Kayangan Tiga. After the procession is over, mesuryak traditions will began.

The whole family worshipping in the reigns of scrambled to apply for salvation to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, as well as to the ancestors who were at home since the day of Galungan and Kuningan.Then proceed with the mesuryak procession carries all supplies such as banten and ceremony of offerings to the front entrance of the House respectively. Then the elders chanting prayers closed with mesuryak.

Each family provide some money (coin or paper). The money was thrown into the air is welcomed by the citizens. Men, women, kids scramble and traying to get the money. An atmosphere full of joy was created.

Mesuryak aims at delivering the ancestral spirits returning to heaven. We bring rejoicing with joy and cheer while throwing money into the air that contested a lot of people.The amount of money used in the mesuryak varies depending on economic ability of citizens. The hereditary tradition is still carried out every six months to coincide with Kuningan day.

Bali Kecak Dance

Kecak dance is usually referred to as " Cak Dance" or Fire Dance is a dance performance or the appropriate mass entertainment and its kind of art and drama dance because it entirely illustrates the history such as Ramayana and not specifically used in hindu rituals such as the cult, and the other ceremonies.

This dance is usually played by a lot of male fearing sit lined up to form a circle. Kecak dance is very unique because unlike other dance accompanied by gamelan rhythms or musical instrument but only combines sounds or mouth cries "cak cak cak" repeatedly, holding up both hands. This scene depicts the story of Ramayana where lot of monkey help Rama when against Rahwana.

These forms of "sacred" in the kecak dance is usually expressed in terms of kerauhan or masolah that is immune so it's not burned by the fire. Kecak dance can be found in several places in Bali, but the dance that show in Uluwatu are the most interesting to watch because the attraction along with the sunset or sunset.

Kecak dance was created in the 1930s by Wayan Limbak properties that work together with Germany painter Walter Spies upon the tradition of Sanghyang and parts of the story of Ramayana. Wayan Limbak properties of this dance popularized while traveling the world with the groups dancers from Bali.

In addition to the story of Ramayana, there are some titles and themes frequently staged kecak like:
- Kecak Sugriwa and Subali, was created in 1976.
- Kecak Gods of Ruci, was created in 1982.
Both are the work of Mr. I Wayan Dibia.

Nyepi, The Bali Day Of Silence

Nyepi day is a feast held by Hindus as a form of ritual Of Tapa Brata celebrating the new year to come of Saka. Bali as a region in Indonesia with the majority of the population are Hindu is one area that is quite famous for its celebration of nyepi day. During the celebration of nyepi, one of the restrictions that should be avoided by Hindus who celebrate it is amatiz geni, that is the prohibition to light the fire so the atmosphere should be dark. There is no fire burning or lights on in everywhere, so that people from the morning had already locked himself in the House respectively.

The main objective of the Nyepi holiday celebration is begging to God Almighty, to purify Bhuana Alit (natural or human microcosmos) and Bhuana Agung or macrocosmos (universe). Before the Nyepi holiday was performed there is usually some sort of ceremony performed by Hindus, in Indonesia, especially in the area of Bali island.

One of the ritual performed by Hindus in Bali before the arrival of nyepi holiday is what is called the rite of pengerupukan, i.e. (tawur nasi) or sprinkled rice, light the torch to the location of the house and yard, sow home location with gunpowder, hitting a of a thing (usually slit drum) to lively sound and rowdy.

Pengrupukan ceremony is usually followed by a parade of ogoh-ogoh is a form of manifestation of Buta Kala which the symbol of evil spirit paraded around the street, and then burned. The goal is still the same: drive Buta Kala from the surrounding and protect the Bali from the evil spirit.

Celebration of Nyepi holiday that is identical to an economical side of darkness gives the advantage that electricity energy saving efforts by thousands of people on a full day. This directly gives the effort a boon for backup electricity supply the community concerned. The people of other religions or even multiple instances that should be turned on the electricity is usually only allowed in small sizes that don't come out light from the window.

For those of you who've been visit to Bali is certainly familiar with the sights of Kintamani. Often tour agents always enter the Kintamani as one part of the route of travel to the island of Bali. Kintamani is the flagship attractions are much visited by tourists both domestic and foreign tourists. The uniqueness of Kintamani, serving a distinctive atmosphere make this area as one of the mandatory list of attractions in Bali that you must visit.

The Kintamani is a natural tourist attraction that presents the beauty of a mountain and Lake Batur.
